My name is Urh and by profession I am an engineer of geodesy and geoinformatics. But my true joy is working with hands and creating. Creating and an "engineering approach" to it, regardless of the industry :).
My wife Hana's leather and shoemaking family heritage contributed to my enthusiasm and deep dive into the world of leather, directing my creativity in that direction.
Hana's grandfather Ferdinand, a master shoemaker with over 70 years of experience, still enters his "laboratory" (as he calls the workshop in his basement) every day. With his wife Ivanka, despite retirement, they continue to stimulate their fingers and minds there. I am grateful that he took me under his wing, recognized my curiosity, and eased my learning path with his knowledge.
The birth of my son at the end of 2020 was the last and crucial reason for a complete reorganization of priorities. I decided to prioritize family and personal fulfillment, leave my regular job, and try to turn my joy into a business.
Thus, town square man was born.
